Welcome to the Kingdom, Lords and Ladies! The conquest is complete.
Earn gold:
Cartographer in Training: Complete geographic and mapping skills challenges
These challenges cover basic map and research skills. Each is designed to take no more than one class period, with one gold earned for each correct answer. Once you have informed the Queen that your training quest is ready for royal assessment, a new quest will appear. You must complete the first quest in order to move on to the next. If you have completed anything incorrectly or insufficiently, you may consult with the Queen to earn missed gold. Do not resolve comments that give feedback on the accuracy of your work if you plan to consult with the Queen on incorrect answers; the Queen will NOT accept it for reconsideration. Secret Quests: Special challenges related to the current task
These quests appear at random times throughout your main quests. They are related to the content of the current objective and offer an extension or special challenge. While they are optional, they are often worth more gold than assignments in the main quest because they require extra time and brain power. Beware, though, because secret quests come with a time limit. World Reports: Stay current on world happenings
Your world reports involve reading up on current events. New articles are presented approximately every two weeks; at the end of that time, those articles will expire. You may choose which topics you are interesting in pursuing, and you are not required to complete every assignment for topics you choose. Consider, though, that once the time limit is reached, there is no way to go back and earn that gold later. Spy Master: Discover global cultural characteristics
When you complete a spy master quest, you are taking on longer term assignments to learn more about the connection between people and places. These quests cover a variety of topics, including physical geography, religion, art, conflicts, etc. These quests may be attempted in any order, but tasks inside the quest must be completed step by step. Because these quests are not meant to take only one class period, your possible payment is based on the number of class days that should be budgeted for their completion, i.e., a project expected to take three days may be worth up to 30 gold. Depending on quality, you will not automatically receive your full pay, and bonuses may be received for going above and beyond basic expectations. Call to Arms: Put on your armor and join the fight
Sometimes an emergency in the world may prompt an unscheduled topic that needs to be investigated. This call to arms may pop up at any time and require you to pause quests in progress to work with your fellow nobles to conquer the problem. As with spy master quests, gold will be awarded based on length of time and quality of results. Your ResponsibilitiesAudiences
When you run into trouble, you should request an audience with the Queen. Audiences may include, but are not limited to: 1. clarifications on instructions 2. discussion during the planning phase of a project 3. uncertainty on what to tackle next 4. communication difficulties with other nobles 5. study skills consultation 6. quality check on a specific portion of a project Training Scrolls You will maintain training scrolls to collect your cartographer in training practice. Create a Google Slide document titled "Training Scrolls: Lord/Lady (your name)." Share the document with the Queen. This is where your training challenges will appear as you complete them. Record Box All written assignments must be turned in to your pocket in the record box. Make sure your name is included on your submission. Coffers You must maintain accurate coffers, updated on Mondays when you are paid from the previous week. If you need to obtain a signature for diminished revenue, it is due on Tuesday. A missing signature will count as a missing homework, and you will receive a strike and R&R at recess until the issue has been resolved. Gold Graph PDF |
